Brenda Richardson and Max Hoogveld are the co-owners of Synergy Landscape Design.
Brenda Richardson - partner. Brenda holds a Horticulture Diploma in Landscape Design and Turf Management and is a long-time student of the art of Feng-Shui. She has years of experience in landscape design, estimating, sales and consulting, and landscape construction and maintenance. Brenda acts as a mediator with a practical point of view to ensure that Synergy Landscape Design customers get their desired results. Brenda says, “We pay close attention to detail and have the ability to recognize what our customer wants, allowing us to implement their ideas into the landscape plan with our creative flair.” When she’s not working, Brenda enjoys fly-fishing and spending time with her daughter.
Max Hoogveld - partner. Max has a Horticultural Technologist Diploma in Landscape and is also Certified Irrigation Technician. Design with experience in all aspects of landscape construction including Japanese garden design, paving stone installation as well as irrigation design and installation. Max is an exceptional project manager and landscape foreman, but most of all he has a creative eye and a real knack for water features. His attention to detail is uncanny. Max says, “We develop a working relationship with a personal touch through our professional, knowledgeable and straightforward approach.” In his spare time, Max enjoys coaching his daughter’s soccer team and golfing.

Mitch Orton - landscape foreman.
Mitch holds a diploma of Horticulture in Landscape Design and Installation and has been involved in the landscape industry for 9 years. His unique modern style and attention to detail is infused into every landscape that he is a part of. He believes that the landscape should be a useful stunning area that respects and incorporates the surrounding environment. Mitch is constantly educating himself and others on the new trends, ideas and practices and then implementing them into day to day operations. In his spare time he enjoys playing guitar, basketball and the outdoors.
Melissa Croft - junior designer.
Melissa is a dedicated, passionate designer with an excellent artistic flare. With a Diploma in Horticulture in Landscape Design and Installation, she brings new ideas and a fresh outlook to the company. Melissas skills lie in her graphic presentation, attention to detail and devotion to her work. Her infectious laugh and bright smile lightens up anyone who is in the office or in the field. Don’t let her small stature fool you she’s an ex- truck driver with knowledge and experience on large machinery. As Melissa comes from the Queen Charlotte Islands she especially enjoys surfing and many other outdoor activities, as well as traveling abroad.
Darin Holte - landscape foreman.
Darin has a diploma in Landscape Architecture from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology as well as 9 years experience in the Landscape field. He has supervised multiple landscaping crews in his recent years, big and small. In his spare time, Darin enjoys fly-fishing.
